Terms of Service

This is an agreement between you and Sayphon. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to the terms below. We've tried to write them in plain language, without fine print or hidden traps.

Who provides the service

Sayphon is provided by sole proprietor Dmitrii Kondratev, registered in the Republic of Armenia (tax ID 20368125), at Yerevan, 43/2 Pavstos Buzand Street, Apt. 0002.

What Sayphon is

Sayphon is an assistant for speaking a foreign language. It recognizes speech, translates, suggests responses, shows you pronunciation, and helps you prepare for conversations and interviews. It's a supporting tool: suggestions and translations may contain errors, and the final word is always yours.

Every voice in the service is computer-generated: there are no human speakers behind them. Speech is produced by the synthesis systems of our vendors, and we store the finished recordings so that the same phrase is not generated twice.

Your account

You need an account to use the service. Provide a real email address, keep your password secret, and don't share your access with anyone else. Everything that happens under your account counts as your own action. If you notice unauthorized access, contact us right away. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

Acceptable use

We grant you a personal right to use the service. You may not resell access, reverse-engineer or copy the service, scrape data automatically, interfere with other users, or place excessive load on our infrastructure beyond normal use.

A word on honesty: you're responsible for where and how you apply the suggestions you get. Exams, tests, interviews, and workplaces often have their own rules, and following them is your responsibility. The service is built to help you speak and learn, not to pass off someone else's knowledge as your own.

Your content

Everything you send to the service remains yours. You allow us to process it only to the extent needed to run the service: to recognize it, translate it, prepare a suggestion, and save your history. We don't use your content for third-party advertising and we don't sell it. Details are in our Privacy Policy.

Rights to the service itself

The service as a whole - the software, the interface, the texts, the Sayphon name and its visual design - belongs to us and is protected by law. By using the service you receive the right to use it, but not the right to copy it, take it apart, reproduce it in your own product or use our name and design.

Third-party services

Sayphon runs on contractors' infrastructure: servers, speech recognition, language models, email delivery, payment processing. Their outages may temporarily affect the availability of the service, and your payment is additionally governed by the rules of our payment partner. We choose these contractors and remain responsible for how they process your data on our instructions.

Plans and payment

The service offers free access with limits and paid plans. Prices and plan details are listed on our pricing page and may change; we'll notify you in advance of any price change to your active subscription.

Payments are processed by our payment partner, who acts as the merchant of record and is responsible for taxes in your country. Your subscription renews automatically until you cancel it, and you can cancel at any time from your account. Refund terms are described in our refund policy.

Service availability

We're actively developing the service and may change features, add new ones, and retire old ones. Occasional interruptions can happen: updates, outages, issues on a contractor's side. We try to give advance notice of planned maintenance and restore access as quickly as possible, but we don't promise uninterrupted operation without a single pause.

Liability

The service is provided as is. We don't guarantee that a translation, suggestion, or pronunciation score will be error-free, and we're not responsible for decisions you make based on them: the outcome of an interview, negotiation, or exam is up to you. To the extent permitted by law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the preceding three months.

Suspension and termination

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these terms, for example by attempting to breach the service, reselling access, or abusing refunds. If the violation isn't serious, we'll warn you first and give you a chance to fix it.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Armenia. We always try to resolve issues through correspondence first: write to us, and we'll sort it out. If we can't reach an agreement, disputes are handled at the sole proprietor's place of registration, without affecting any consumer rights you have under the law of your own country.

Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. The date at the top of the page always shows the current version, and we'll notify you by email or within the service about any material changes before they take effect.
